This unit is a simple, low cost impact or shock monitoring device with built-in audible alarm. When the vehicle impacts something at or above the threshold setting, the built-in horn provides a distinctive sound that clearly identifies a vehicle “in alarm”. The alarm will continue to sound until the supervisor’s Disarm Key is used to reset the unit. A sensor pad is mounted on the vehicle in a readily accessible location and the Disarm Key is simply touched to the sensor pad to turn off the alarm and reset the monitor. Likewise, to change the threshold setting, one of the Programming Keys is simply touched to the sensor pad and the monitor is re-programmed for that threshold setting. Programming keys are available for a range of impact thresholds from 0.3G to 3.0G. |
