Batteries for electric forklift trucks serve two purposes:
A) Supply power
B) Provide counterweighting for the chassis
Buying the correct battery for your truck is critical to safe load handling. The battery must meet the minimum battery weight requirement shown on the capacity rating nameplate in order for the capacity ratings to be valid and the truck to be safe to operate.
